Hey, you – Wanna Know a Secret?

Hey you. Yes, you.

You out there in cyberspace, in your mismatched socks and your hair that quite possible looks like a squirrel just vacated a nest atop your head. You who feels like the world forgot her. You who thinks she’s not good enough. You who thinks that everything wrong is somehow your fault. You who wonders it things will ever get better.

YOU, girl – yes. YOU.

Did you know that right now, somewhere in cyber space there is another girl in mismatched socks and hair so wild it looks like a few squirrels are living there as we speak . . . who totally GETS it.

I know what it’s like to feel like no one cares. Like I’m not enough. Like nothing will ever go right even kind-of-ok. But I also know what it’s like to discover someone DOES care. You ARE enough. Things WILL get better.

That thing you’ve been asking God about? That thing that has you up at night? That future that worries you until you think you might possibly wind so tight you’ll spin into orbit in your cat slippers scaring the heck out of a flock of seagulls?

Surely, when you feel this way, and we ALL feel this way sometimes – surely deep down your heart knows one thing God tattooed on it like the Tweety Bird on the backside of your younger, rebellious self . . . The promise is permanent. No takesies-backsies.

“Surely . . . surely goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life.”

    • Aw, thanks Kimmy! 🙂 I don’t know that I am deserving of fabulous or amazing. 🙂 But thank you for thinking it. 🙂 I’m sorry you can relate to feeling “not enough”. Take it from me, Kimmy, homeschool mom, ministering woman, wife to a pastor . . . that’s a BIG plate . . . and you ARE more than enough!
