Have you Laughed Today?

When was the last time you laughed? God doesn’t want us to wait until everything is going right or even close to it to b happy. He wants us to be content with ourselves. God wants us to enjoy our lives RIGHT NOW.

That doesn’t mean when life is perfect or even when we are. It means laughing on the hard days. Smiling even when our kids are fighting over whose turn it is to feed the cat. It means enjoying ourselves even when our husbands are in that mood . . yep, girls, you know THAT mood. πŸ™‚ Or, heck, even when we are in THAT mood – and God knows we girls have that mood too.

Whatever happens in your world today. This is the day the Lord has made. Let’s rejoice and be glad in it!

If you haven’t laughed today enjoy this little video of the adorable Agnes from Despicable Me. It is one of our favorite cartoon movies to watch together at our place. It is impossible to not crack a smile when you are hanging out with the one and only Agnes!

  1. Found your blog after reading your devotional this am on CBN.com…love your post today and it is just what i needed to hear! God bless you.

  2. I love to laugh, the kind of laughter that makes you cry and you can’t talk, you just laugh and laugh until it hurts. Then finally, after 15 minutes, you might be able to hold it together long enough to tell your husband or children what it was that was so funny. And then sometimes they just look at you like…”that was funny”! I just love it!

God most certainly gave us laughter!

      • Absolutely! We took the children to see a wild life reservation a few years ago and they had the funniest little camel there. She hadn’t seen a toothbrush her whole little camel life lol but she was the cutest thing. I remember thinking when she stuck her tongue out and stole my toddler’s goldfish cracker – God was having a fun day when he made that little camel. πŸ™‚

  3. Have you visited our blog and read the interview with author, Ann Gabhart and entered to win an autographed copy of her book, Scent of Lilacs? I’m assuming you live in the States, many of our followers are in other countries and it’s too costly to send books. I’ve got to work on that problem, because I hate having to eliminating them. This is our first author interview/book giveaway and I’m sure I’ll be working out the kinks for a few months. One kink will be our international friends. Anyway, right now if you live in the States, come on over and read the interview and make a comment to enter. She’s a great author and I’m sure you’d like her books.
